  • Why did the tree break?
  • Who’s Cherry Pie is this?
  • Are they connected?

Here are the Facts:

On July 26, 2009, we discovered a large branch had broken off a tree at Edison’s playground. The exact date that it fell is unknown. However, it was not too long ago, because the leaves are still green.

Possible Causes

  1. A careless climber - Someone might have been climbing the tree and broken the branch.
  2. Kids throwing stuff - Some careless kids might have thrown something heavy at the tree and broken it. They would have left the cherry pie box, also.
  3. Squirrel - A very, very, very, very, very, very, very fat squirrel might have stood on the branch.

After all our investigation, after studying the leaves, after staring at the tree for 6 hours straight, we have come to only this conclusion: it was not caused by a very, very, very, very, very, very, very, fat squirrel.
